COVID-19: update for all WMC Ensembles

We are closely monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 virus and assessing its impact on the operation of our music service.

Based on the information and advice available we are ceasing all peripatetic teaching in schools as of Monday 23rd March 2020 – We will be ceasing all ensemble rehearsals commencing the week of Monday 16th March 2020.

As this is a developing situation, we must uphold the wellbeing and safeguarding of our pupils, members and staff, and as such we will continue to assess the most up to date advice from the UK Government and Public Health Wales and its impact on our music service.

Please note that lessons will resume as soon as possible, and that we aim to deliver all scheduled visits before the end of the Summer term.

We will publish further updates on our website.

Wrexham Music Co-operative is a not-for-profit organisation providing quality music tuition in the Wrexham area. The Co-operative is run by the teachers for the benefit of all pupils in Wrexham county and is managed by Heather Powell and an experienced administration team. We provide tuition on a wide range of instruments and voice, aiming to develop each pupil’s musical potential according to their individual needs and aspirations. We are offering a fresh approach to music provision throughout the county and are part of a growing group of music co-operatives in North Wales.
